Among its main benefits, we highlight:

• Reduction of pollution and emissions: A good public transport system reduces the use of private vehicles, decreasing polluting emissions, CO2, and noise pollution.
• Improvement of accessibility and inclusion: It facilitates the movement of all people, including the elderly and those with reduced mobility. A well-planned system allows everyone to access services, education, and work, regardless of their economic level.

• Low-emission zones and urban tolls: These are measures to restrict access for polluting vehicles to urban centers, which promote cross-financing of the public transport system.
