The best way to move people en masse during peak hours
We focus on the user experience to design easier, more attractive, efficient, and accessible transport services
Public transport is the most sustainable mode of transport to meet mobility needs at distances that cannot be easily covered on foot or by bicycle. It is also the most universal mode for guaranteeing the right to mobility for people of different conditions.
Among its main benefits, we highlight:
- Reduction of pollution and emissions: A good public transport system reduces the use of private vehicles, decreasing polluting emissions, CO2, and noise pollution.
- Improvement of accessibility and inclusion: It facilitates the movement of all people, including the elderly and those with reduced mobility. A well-planned system allows everyone to access services, education, and work, regardless of their economic level.
- Economic efficiency: High-capacity public transport reduces costs associated with congestion, road maintenance, and traffic accidents.
Currently, several trends are highlighted that are reshaping public transport systems. Notably:
- Mobility as a Service (MaaS): Digital platforms that integrate various transport services (metro, bus, shared bikes, taxis…) into a single app, with unified payment. The customer focus to offer them a comprehensive solution for their travel makes intermodality key to success.
- Electrification and decarbonization: Electric bus fleets, hybrid trains, and shared electric vehicle infrastructure are key to improving sustainability and health within urban areas.
- Data and artificial intelligence: The use of real-time data is becoming crucial for optimizing routes, frequencies, and managing demand as efficiently as possible.
- Low-emission zones and urban tolls: These are measures to restrict access for polluting vehicles to urban centers, which promote cross-financing of the public transport system.
