VAIC Mobility is a mobility consultancy specialized in strategy, projects, and transport services. We work to place public transport, cycling, and people at the heart of the transformation of cities and territories.
We are a leading company in sustainable mobility in Catalonia, with professionals who have more than 20 years of experience in projects that combine technical rigor with real impact on how people move and how urban space, as well as mobility networks and services, are organized.
We were founded in 2013 from the convergence of independent professionals with extensive experience in territorial, environmental, and mobility fields, in both the public and private sectors. Today, we are a multidisciplinary team with specialized mobility profiles across civil and traffic engineering, architecture, environmental sciences, geography, urban planning, communication, and participation, united by a common goal: to make cities work better for everyone.
What we believe in
We believe that mobility is not an end in itself, it is a right and a condition for accessing the opportunities that a territory offers. Well-planned mobility is what enables everyone, regardless of gender, age, or income, to reach where they need to go in a safe, comfortable, and sustainable way.
That is why we place active mobility and public transport at the center of everything we do. That is why we incorporate universal accessibility as a design criterion in all our projects, not as a regulatory requirement to be met at the end. And that is why we work to help cities move toward the 15-minute city model: environments where proximity reduces the need for motorized travel and where public space regains its value as a place for living.
How we work
We support public administrations and organizations throughout all phases of their projects: from initial analysis and diagnosis (traffic counts, demand studies, mobility Big Data, modeling) to the drafting of sustainable mobility plans, the design of cycling and road infrastructure, urban development projects and road signage, and the definition of active mobility, public transport and urban logistics services.
We complete the cycle with citizen participation processes, communication campaigns, tactical urbanism pilot projects, and specialized training, because changes in mobility are not implemented by decree: they require support, communication, and an informed and engaged citizenry.
All our work is framed within the context of the Sustainable Mobility Law and European directives on transport decarbonization, which set the roadmap for transforming the mobility system in the coming years.
