The Rubí City Council’s Company Mobility Plan (PDE in Catalan) is the document that plans actions to improve the mobility of workplaces and municipal facilities, promoting greater participation of more sustainable and safe transport modes and a more rational use of private motorized vehicles.
The PDE considers all people’s movements related to workplaces, meaning:
- Travel between home and work.
- Professional travel during working hours, both for own employees and for employees of subcontracted companies accessing the center, as well as for clients and visitors, provided they represent a significant mobility flow.
Among the proposals developed, the following should be highlighted:
- Construction of secure parking for bicycles and scooters at municipal facilities
- Fleet of electric bicycles and scooters for work mobility
- Creation of metrominutes for walking and cycling between municipal buildings
- Study of real georeferenced use of the municipal car fleet for resizing
- New criteria for assigning municipal vehicles for work mobility
- New policy on the use of regulated parking in the vicinity of municipal buildings by staff
