Answering these questions rigorously requires geospatial analysis tools.

What do we work on?
Coverage and accessibility analysis
We calculate the territorial coverage of public transport networks, cycle infrastructure, and active mobility services based on travel time isochrones and influence areas for each mode. We identify areas with accessibility deficits, affected groups, and improvement opportunities, incorporating criteria for urban mobility and accessibility and a gender perspective into the analysis.
Slope and physical terrain constraints analysis
Topography is a determining factor for the viability of cycling and walking mobility. We calculate the slopes of the road network and potential routes, identifying sections that require electric assistance or alternative solutions, and integrating this information into the design of bicycle master plans and cycle lane projects.
Proximity and minimum distance analysis
We calculate the minimum distances between relevant origins and destinations such as educational, health, commercial facilities, transport hubs, and the population, to assess the potential for capturing walking and cycling mobility and to dimension the necessary infrastructure network within the framework of sustainable urban mobility plans and 15-minute city strategies.
Density and demand distribution analysis
We generate population density maps, economic activity, and potential mobility demand that allow us to identify corridors and nodes with the greatest potential for new transport services or infrastructure. This information is the basis for transport demand studies and public transport network design processes.
Recurrence and spatial pattern analysis
From Big Data mobility data or transport service usage records, we analyze the recurrence of trips and mobility spatial patterns, identifying main corridors, attraction areas, and interchange nodes. This analysis is especially valuable for calibrating transport models and for evaluating the impact of new infrastructure.
Multi-criteria analysis
We integrate multiple variables in geospatial multi-criteria analyses for complex decision-making: optimal location of last-mile logistics micro-hubs, prioritization of actions on the cycling network, evaluation of route alternatives for new infrastructure, or identification of priority intervention areas within the framework of sustainable mobility plans. The integration of socioeconomic, environmental, and mobility criteria in a GIS environment allows for transparent and objective comparison of alternatives.
Integration with other services
GIS analysis is not an isolated service: it is a transversal capability that strengthens and enriches all other VAIC Mobility services. The results of geospatial analyses are directly integrated into mobility plan diagnosis reports, transport models, cycling infrastructure projects, and mobility Big Data visualization tools, ensuring that the spatial dimension is always present in planning decisions.
