Preparation of mobility studies from the Big Data of mobile tracking of MITMA.
The MITMA has daily data related to the monitoring of 13 million mobile lines throughout the State for the years 2020, 2021 and 2022. This large volume of data, of several hundred GB, represents a very powerful tool, unattainable until now, for the identification of mobility patterns, especially if we compare them with traditional mobility surveys.
At Vaic Mobility we combine our knowledge in mobility with the use of programming software and massive data processing to create reports tailored to each municipality or supra-municipal entity.
The main variables available are: day, hour, origin, destination, reason, income, age, gender, trips, trips x km and distance. In addition, for a selected sample of days of each month, during the second half of 2023, modal split will be available for journeys of more than 10 km.
The territorial representativeness level makes it possible to extract mobility flows at the census district level, which makes it possible to analyze intra-municipal, inter-municipal and regional mobility.
