The Sabadell Bicycle Master Plan has as its main objective planning the main strategic lines of action to promote bicycle mobility in the city of Sabadell for the 2025 horizon.
The strategic lines of the Plan focus on infrastructure, promotion and management:
- Regarding the infrastructure, the document makes a proposal for the definition of a basic cycle network for educational, work, personal / commercial and nature / leisure mobility, taking into account the fact that the rest of the road network must also be 100% cycleable. Likewise, a bicycle parking network is proposed based on existing and expected demand, taking into account a level of security suitable for each type of use, as well as intermodality by bicycle.
- In terms of promotion, the Plan focuses on the daily use of bicycles, the promotion of access to public and private bicycles and the promotion of the urban distribution of goods by bicycle.
- Regarding management, the document develops proposals for the integration of the bicycle in municipal planning instruments.
